A home for everyone that never had a home of its own.
Since 2000, the Kollel has been the warm, open heart of Jewish life in Vancouver — for everyone, at every stage. For 25 years, we've done it in borrowed and rented rooms.
The opportunity
The land at our Broadway & Arbutus corner was sold to a developer, and a new building is rising there. In the agreement, the Kollel buys back the first two floors — about 10,000 square feet — as its permanent home: a Beit Midrash (our study hall) full of light, classrooms, a library, and Shabbat tables that never run out of room.
The invitation
We're raising $6,000,000 to claim those two floors — and we're doing itdebt-free, no mortgage. The whole community builds it together, one square foot at a time. $600 claims one square foot — that's $100 a month for six months. Claim one. Claim ten. Dedicate a room. Put your family's name on the Beit Midrash. Whatever your share, it will be there under the feet of your grandchildren.
